Sculpting

When more detail is needed before a pattern can be made, the piece will be sculpted in clay first. This is a time-consuming process that ultimately results in some of the highest-quality castings in the world. Each piece is painstakingly smoothed before a mold is poured around it. When this hardens, the clay is scraped out, and the mold is thoroughly cleaned. Now, it can be used to make one or more patterns, which are then used like any other pattern for the foundry process.
